Integrated ECUs

Further Progress through Original Technology

Integrated ECUs achieve smaller size and lighter weight (ECU: Engine Control Unit)

What is an integrated ECU?

This is a proprietary control unit of Kokusan Denki that contains multiple components, such as an engine control unit, voltage regulator, and voltage smoothing capacitor in a single case to achieve compact size and lightweight through integration and modularization.

Technical Points

Changing from the conventionally used power semiconductor eliminated the need to use a heat sink and made the device more resistance to temperature changes to achieve stable voltage control.

Merits of Integration

Fewer parts, reduced installation time, fewer risks, such as incorrect wiring and vibration, and lighter weight

Applications

  • Optimized and developed for motorcycles, which requires smaller, lighter weight engine electric appliances, and mass produced for off-road bikes.
  • These product features will be utilized to propose expansion into a wide range of fields including racing motorcycles, scooters, and general-purpose engines.
