Integrated ECUs achieve smaller size and lighter weight (ECU: Engine Control Unit)
What is an integrated ECU?
This is a proprietary control unit of Kokusan Denki that contains multiple components, such as an engine control unit, voltage regulator, and voltage smoothing capacitor in a single case to achieve compact size and lightweight through integration and modularization.

Technical Points
- Changing from the conventionally used power semiconductor eliminated the need to use a heat sink and made the device more resistance to temperature changes to achieve stable voltage control.
-
Merits of Integration
- Fewer parts, reduced installation time, fewer risks, such as incorrect wiring and vibration, and lighter weight
-
Applications
- Optimized and developed for motorcycles, which requires smaller, lighter weight engine electric appliances, and mass produced for off-road bikes.
- These product features will be utilized to propose expansion into a wide range of fields including racing motorcycles, scooters, and general-purpose engines.
